It’s been a couple of really exciting days here at DesignAShirt. We are always trying to think of creative and fun stuff to keep us on our toes and this year we thought it would be fun to do a little Holiday decorating with a twist. Some of you may know, we work out of the same production facility as our screenprinting and embroidery partner Anton Sport, and we needed their help to make our little stunt work.
Under the cover of darkness during the Thanksgiving weekend, a few of our employees draped some lights across the top of our building, then fastened a mannequin to our sign that sits 30 feet in the air along a major, heavily trafficked street. The mannequin is made to look like he has fallen off a ladder while hanging the lights.
We all found it hilarious as did many customers, people driving by, and even a couple competitors who gave us kudos for our clever idea.
Yesterday, we received a visit from our very nice, professional local police force. The officer who came by was laughing telling us that she thought it was hilarious but that her dispatch was tiring from all the 911 calls they were receiving daily from people who believed someone really was in trouble.
The fun part was that a couple of television stations picked up the story and ran with it.
